Re: "Siege of Louisbourg 1747" Legionary 2024.

Looks splendid Willz and very popular! The venue looks nice and spacious. Did you make any use of the boats? I think you need a few more inches of counterscarp towards the water (if you know what I mean.....☺). Neil Cheers Neil for your kind comment. No I did not use the boats on Saturday not enoug...

Re: "Siege of Louisbourg 1747" Legionary 2024.

I hate to concentrate on such a small detail in what is, overall, an outstanding display of figures & terrain - your chevaux-de-frise. It is remarkable. By using a tree trunk, it looks so very real. donald It took a bit of time to drill the holes, may buy a mini powered drill to make life easie...

Cheers for all your kind comments it was a great day out and the players all enjoyed themselves.
The fast play rules work very well, so a big thank you to Paul Robinson for the rules which worked well with my additions.

"Siege of Louisbourg 1747" Legionary 2024.

A 30 minute drive to Exeter to put on "Siege of Louisbourg 1747" Legionary 2024. Took an hour to set up table ready for players. Father and 2 sons asked to play at 1045, John (Bonnie Prince Charlie), Tom and Sam (British). Forgot to take photos for the first hour having loads of fun. https...

Spanish troops for Louisbourg 1747.

I have decided to use my Spencer Smiths for my participation game this Saturday, so here are the Spanish troops. Most of the attacking troops have movement trays to help speed up the game. There are also Scottish and French troops. https://i.postimg.cc/pLDBjymh/DSCN0481.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3wtg...

Re: Legionary 11th May 2024 Exeter.

Ah, Spensah-Smiffs, sah - every time. Just spent the last couple of hours sorting out stuff for Legionary 2024, I settled on the Spencer Smiths. Units are made up of 5 stands of 4 figures, I have made movement tray to speed gaming. The reason behind the small units is I want the game to move fast a...

Cheers Baron,
I don't know whether to use my Spencer Smiths of my 28mm metals I used at PAW?
