Re: What are people buying?

I want to buy Warlords SPQR and I hate myself for that. The game actually looks pretty good fun. I'm hoping they'll sell the rules separate. Especially since LT sent me some nice Romans I can individually base. Hardly bought anything at Driffield just some 20mm Colonial Figures from Newline as an ex...

Re: Citadel Contrast Paints

Tim, if you’re painting black washed figures with a dark CP, I’d give them a dry brushing with white/off white (edited to add: BEFORE applying the CP, that is) so that they’ve got some highlighting that’ll ‘show’ through the paint. Thanks, yes they're not black washed, just brown washed but I still...

Re: Citadel Contrast Paints

I might try a black or dark purple for my medieval arabs. I've already undercoated them in a light brown wash, it might even work just using my regular black wash thinking about it?

Re: Driffield 22nd/23rd June 2019

Cracking first day! Lots of bargains to be with Tim and Peeler buying some fantastic goodies. Some of you will be in awe of what Tim picked up! Battle wise, the Albion flanks are weakening, I predict a stunning victory for tomorrow for Europa as their glorious cavalry sweep the redcoats off the cont...

Pretty sure the Congolese air force is an old MiG 21 in a shed that no one can fly.

Re: Driffield 22nd/23rd June 2019

This evening I learnt my car drives differently with my entire shiny toy soldier collection in it, burns more fuel too.

Managed to have room for a small tent and sleeping bag. Some Ulahns to finish and I'm ready.

What's this Blood Bowl like then? I almost bought the starter game at Expo, but thought better of the £60+ price.
40k + Subuteo

I've long thought GW's distraction games were better than the more popular, Necromunda is great.

Blood Bowel looks good fun!

Re: Anyone fancy a lucky dip?

It seems to have been a great success. Well done. I only declined because I knew what a random set of figures arriving could do to what I laughingly call my projects plan... :) Phase 2 is for each of us to send you 5 random figures in different scales/periods then sit back and watch the magic happen.
