The Memsahib has been trying to find all three volumes of John H Gill's '1809: Thunder on the Danube' for me for Chrimbo. However, while she can find new, hardback copies of Vols 1 & 2 for £26-£30, Vol 3 only seems to exist for in excess of £200!!!

I've finally broken my present painting funk! I've done nothing done since August - I blame the end of the LAOW painting challenge! It actually worked in getting me to paint. As has been said: Tony Barton in 15/18mm and Paul Hicks (Empress, Woodbine, Hinterland, etc, etc) stole the Perries' crown some years ago in 28mm.
