Ayton 2020 18th century ideas.

Post by Buff Orpington »

May be time for a separate thread to chat about ideas.
I am inclined to look at trouble in the Muricun colonies.
I know when to go out
I know when to stay in

I share that man’s inclination.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Was a decision made on "Historical" or "Imag-inations" for the game?
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

I don't believe so, Tim. Traditionally people have always done what they fancy for the 'main game' whatever, wherever and whenever it's been set. I can't imagine 2020 will be any different.

Dave and I have the job of bringing an idea back to the forum in due course. We've not had a chance to chat yet.

Another vote for this, FWIW.

I'm hoping to put in an appearance (Norm willing) as it's the "tenth" (apparently), and because some friends have done up an old house in the vicinity and it would tie in with a visit (he is ex-Army, and I might bring him along, if it is considered appropriate). So all-in-all, it would be nice to be on familiar(ish) ground. If present, I could contribute the little-known at the time, but immensely influential subsequently, Compagnie des Ingenieurs Archaeologiques, or CIA, in 28mm AND 3D. Possibly resembling the Legion de Lauzun, but not to be confused with them in any way whatsoever, they are vastly skilled in looti....errr, saving historical artifacts and returning them to France for safekeeping and study.

Sorry, everyone - I had no idea that my proposed attendance would put such a dampener on proceedings......
