Ah, donkey rides on the beach - that takes me back. Still haven't forgiven the bloke in charge for letting the punters wear spurs.....

Save a horse, ride a cowboy, as one peculiar song goes...

Anyway, tried something a little different here with this command stand - Gen Hill.

I've always liked those AB British infantry standing at ease. Did your "mix" ever include the one with the forage cap? I got loads of them 2nd hand as they actually make great Bavarians if you alter the shako by taking off the plume, file the shako into a dome and put a greenstuff "raupe" on; then square off the canteen, trim off the tufts/wings and paint the coat accordingly.

Thanks much.

Baron - Never seen the variants in forage cap. Might have to have a quick search for those. Doesn't even sound like much work is required at all to convert them to Bavarians.

I've searched all through my ABs and unfortunately, I don't seem to have any Peninsula British artillerymen (oddly they are the only items missing from the Peninsula British range - I may have sold them on to someone). Apologies for getting your hopes up.
