Any old iron (filing cabinets)?

Post by BaronVonWreckedoften »

Anybody know someone who is getting rid of one or better still two, 10- or 15-drawer filing cabinets? Yes, I have looked on eBay and at second-hand office furniture places, but I do not want to (a) pay silly money, or (b) drive to the Outer Hebrides/Norwich/Truro/Stockport/Belfast because it's "buyer collects", much less (c) both of the above.

I would prefer "Bisley" by make and battleship grey by colour, but neither is a deal-breaker. Equally, condition need not be tip-top (or even bottle top), just so long as the drawers still function - and cue Gaynor jokes......

Any help gratefully received. Can collect at Partizan.

Yeah, don't really fancy paying best part of £400 for two of them.

I keep hearing about people picking up these things for next to nothing (or, indeed, actually nothing), but for some reason these sorts of opportunities never seem to materialise in my neck of the woods.

I'd quite like a couple of these too but have run into the same problems. Can collect in the North West.

Yep! Them's the ones. Although the new ones are quite flimsy compared to the older versions.

Just seen a hilarious auction on e-Bay that offers "free P&P".

You have to collect it yourself.

It's in Teignmouth. :puke:

I managed to get two from office clear-outs, one NHS, one railway. It's truly amazing how many BattleTech mechs you can get into one, although I suspect the shed floor may no longer be level.
