That was never proved.

In any case, that hussar was sick and would have died anyway.

Just printed off a stack more Bavarians. Infuriatingly, 23 out of 24 printed perfectly and the 24 I snapped his musket off cleaning up the print.. doh! Add that to the schutzen and dragoons I did earlier, and it's all looking promising. Just printing some Austrian Chevauleger, and did some sample paint jobs on the 1808 Italians.

Superglue gel then cure. For some reason the UV really bonds the gel

Thanks Jeremy, unfortunately I didn't notice at the time, and the other half of the musket has vanished. Cest la vie. Still, the Chevauleger look to have come out well.

The one upside of metals is that you can melt down and recast.

Any chance of a photo of these Bavarians? I have two SP forces worth of the Perry variety, but am always interested in more.

You can see the metal sculpts on the piano.de website I believe. I can take some closeups of anything particularly interesting. Personally, I think they are right up there with the Perry plastics. The 3d infantry (not the schutzen) prints have separate heads, the Bavarian Dragoons have very nicely moulded saddle detail to aid painting, and separate half sword arms for additional variety. They basically have schutzen, line/light and grenadiers in formation and skirmishing, 6lb gun and a howitzer and artillery crews loading and firing plus dragoons, and high command set.
