Re: What's on your workbench?

I've finally got all four battalions of the Kurmainz Regiment done for my Reichsarmee (14 more battalions, a cavalry regiment and three guns left to do...) and also got some of the new AB Figures Russian Mounted Jaegers done (the Livonia Regiment). I've got the Wurzburg 'Blue' Regt and the Pfalz 'Effern' Regt currently under the brush, but we're off to Tenerife on Thursday, so they won't be finished for a couple of weeks.

Very nice, Mark. I don't think I've seen figures for Kurmainz done before you did them. They have a nice set of flags and uniforms that will stand out on the table. The cavalry in the strange hats look good, too.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?

I missed His Countness' finished RSM and 6mm imaginings. Nicely done, Andy.

Cheers both! :moredrink:

I should point out that the flags of the Kurmainz Regt, along with those of the Mainz-Lamberg Regt, are completely unknown, so like everyone else I used the 'Warflag' versions, which are 100% speculative (not that this stopped the author of the book 'Zweibrucken Takes Command' from including them as if they were actually historical...).

I admit not paying much attention to the illustrations in those books. But I found them all a very dry read- I was concentrating more on not falling asleep rather than the artwork. I haven't finished any of them, and doubt I'll pull them out of storage to finish them.

Well it was a quiet day in work and my trainee never showed up, so I got the Blau-Wurzburgers finished. :)

How big is the box of tricks you take into work??? Haha

What stage were these at at the start of the day?

Most of it lives in a biscuit tin in my locker:

The 1st Battalion was 75% finished yesterday (after finishing off the Russian cavalry), but the 2nd Battalion was only undercoated at start of play today. The flock went on the base just as my colleague was walking in the door at shift-handover. :)

It was a bloody quiet day... Massive engineering works and no trains for two weeks. As mentioned earlier, the boss sent me his son to be my trainee for the week (the bastard), but literally nothing happened for the first two days and we'd covered all the theory, so he decided not to come in today... :moredrink:
