I received my 2023 Annual the other day. I was most impressed by the article on Ayton. The mug shots of the attendees were a worry, though.

I'm two more regiments closer to finishing the flippin' Reichsarmee: The Pfalz 'Effern' Regiment and the Upper Rhenish 'Pfalz-Zweibrucken' Regiment:





Currently under the brush are the two single-battalion Cologne regiments and waiting in the wings are four battalions of grenadiers, some guns, the Franconian 'Cronegk' Regiment (2 bns), the Pfalz 'Kurfurstin' Dragoon Regiment and a composite dragoon regiment made up from the tiny 'Wurttemberg' and Sachsen-Gotha' Regiments.

I was going to call it a day at that point, but I'm now tempted to get the last remaining Reichsarmee regiments (the ones who did very little or nothing at all apart from garrison-duty); the 'Nassau-Weiburg', 'Ernestinisch-Sachsen', 'Mengerson' 'Nagel' and 'Elverfeldt' Regiments...

Lovely figures, mate, the Effern are a favourite. Once you finish the Reichsarmee you could always start on the Hanseatic cities. The Bremen regiment looks spiffy in Prussian style red with white facings.

Cheers! The Pfalz-Zweibrucken flags are by Maverick Models. The Effern Regiment had Maverick flags for all of 24 hours, until a nice Frenchmen by the name of Frederic Aubert sent me some FAR better flags.
