They haven't arrived yet, the Empress figures may not even have left! I still have about 72 horses that have been here for a year or two on bottle tops though awaiting paint

Ah yes, you said a long time ago that you prefer to paint large batches of horses. Me, I'm more of the 'stick everything together then paint it' school.

I have it seems just recruited a new young gamer into the wonderful world of Chain of Command.

Tis means we have three players meaning I can run one of the Pint Sized Campaigns as an umpire...

So whilst Shiny New Gamer is painting up some Americans, I've just ordered some Marder IIIs.

After said diversion, once the EWM website has been restored I'll get some Lanchester 6x4 armoured cars. Because they have a Steampunk grandeur plus are totally and utterly useless and so appeal to my love of crap gear.

Ah.. 29 Let's Go?

And obviously you only need Lanchesters if you are off to Malaya.

Yes we're starting off with 29 Let's Go which looks fun. And I thought giving the Americans to an inexperienced player whilst Team Evil gets my mate Pete (who is usually allies) was quite realistic.

But Malaya is our next Big Project. Just trying to work out how to represent rubber plantations. No-one sells rubber trees and the forester in me hates the idea of using palm trees.

My preorder from Warlord Games arrived this morning. They included a free sprue...of WWII Germans! On a scale of 1-10 for stupid I think I'd have to give it 9.5!!! Another Epic sprue would have been nice, as I've accumulated 7 so far towards a small game for William, my second grandson, who at 10 is already a keen wargamer!
