I believe that short(ish) European trees with rounded, dome-like foliage and a fair bit of bare trunk, are a good representation.

Thanks for the suggestions gentlemen. As it's summer I'm busy but will give this my full attention once the revenues from my labours reach me...

Happy to have received my Pledge from one of the most eagerly awaited Kickstarters of the last couple of years!
I went all in for the Black Ops box, because it was rude not too. I'm looking forward to getting a go at this over the next couple of weeks.
Until then i'll just re watch the BBC Rogue Heroes series.

Re: What are people buying?
I've placed an order for 5 boxes of Dark Alliance 1/72 Fantasy figures.
The range is 'Lord of the Rings' knock-offs & I'm creating a Half-Orc army - pikemen, warg-riders, trolls etc all lead by a figure that looks suspiciously like the film's Saruman.
This will be my first & probably last, foray into Fantasy. The boxes are dirt-cheap & I will make a 50 or so figure force for Dragon Rampant.
One of our number very much likes Fantasy & I figure our Lion Rampant forces can also be used eg my Late Roman-period Huns as some sort of barbaric Easterlings if I add a shaman.
Now were can I get a shaman.....

Was in Brid yesterday so wandered into Mighty Lancer and came out with the Wargames Atlantic Dark.Age Irish set. £25 for 40 figures isnt bad and you get warhounds in the box too. Only thing was I have had to order sheild transfers from Canada. Still, it'll give me all my foot units for my planned LR Irish force, which I'm using the Pict army list for.

Was in York the other day & happened by the Monksbar Model Shop. After a gaze in the window, I found myself inside & holding a box each of Airfix Guards Colour Party & Guards Band. I neither need them, nor want them, but I bought them, so I've got them. There was another box of each inside, and another of each in the window.

Re: What are people buying?
I can remember the days when the Guards Band/Colour Party were the raw material most frequently used for conversions to Imperial Guard Grenadiers to fight the newly-released Highlanders.....
In other news, took advantage of a 20% off sale at Goblin Gaming to get myself a box each of Wargames Atlantic WW1 Germans, Wargames Atlantic 95th Riflemen, and Perry Napoleonic British Infantry, plus two bags of clump foliage for basing, just to take it over the "free postage" limit. The Perry box will end up going to a mate who is building Peninsula forces after I've nicked all the Belgic shakos in oilskin covers for the Riflemen because, contrary to popular belief, that is actually what they were wearing at Waterloo, and for at least the last year in the Peninsula as well.
