I have a feeling someone (Minifigs?) does 15mm Bosniaks, in their Napoleonics range at least (probably the 1806 Prussians).

Would they be close enough?

Good thinking, mate. I found that Minifigs do a "Prussian Frei Corps Uhlans (Tall Hat)" (code 18VC) and "Prussian Bosniak Lancers (Colpack)" (code 19VC), but I couldn't find any photos of them. There's lots of photos of model train figures, lots of other makers and scales, and an impressive 1/6 action figure of a lady pirate- which was probably not designed with children as the target market...). Plus, like Essex, they may be a bit too small to mix with the Eureka 18's.

I have very low standards, so can tolerate Minifigs and/or Essex when there's no other option (as long as they're not mixed in the same unit as Eureka). However, they're both taking the piss with their prices and packaging policy.

I miss the days when Minifigs 20mm were 20c (9d in the UK?) each for foot figures. As for Essex, I don't know whether Ray's still bringing them in, but they were more expensive than AB's at one stage. It was cheaper, and usually quicker, to order them from the UK- and that included airmail P&P to Oz. £4.85 for four 15mm mounted is par for the course, here.

Perhaps you could have a look at some at one of the shows, mate, and then prowl the B&B's?
