On the plus side it means we will escape the Bank Holiday traffic, well you will, that Friday is the day we go home.

Given that the change is for ve day, make sure the hall is available.
Re: May Bank Holiday 2020
I'm not sure the Ayton date will change, although that's obviously open to discussion! I'm presuming that we'll stick with the previously arranged date (Sat 2nd/Sun 3rd)?FreddBloggs wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 12:28 pm Given that the change is for ve day, make sure the hall is available.

That would also be my preference and it would avoid any potential clash.

Re: May Bank Holiday 2020
I've just spotted this myself.
I think we need a lead from our Mr Peeler about the hall booking and whether we're moving the start of the Ayton weekend from Friday afternoon on 1 May 2020.
Many of us have already booked rooms in the Lodge for the 1, 2 and 3 May.

At least, it's the last time for 25 years. By the time of the Centenary, Norm will be overseeing OVERLORD at Ayton and we will be wheeled in by our carers, spare incontinence undies compulsory. Purps will have to arrange a special delivery of Werthers Originals.

It's a bit of a bugger really. I'd rather keep the same weekend... I'll just take the Monday off anyway...
