LT definitely took the prize for best presentation. He tried out his patented raised table, so you were playing at just below chest height (for us short folk) which really looked good. He then had biscotti and Bourbon biscuits for the players.

The Bourbon commanders were named after biscotti and given that the troops were Neapolitan, they carried a flag in ice cream colours with two crossed spoons :D

The Lardy Day’s are great fun, Deep Fried managed two games for everybody with 8 different variants and plenty of time for gossip and the occasional ‘refreshment’.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

They are indeed, then the banter afterwards at the curry house and pub are very Aytonesque. Overall a grand weekend’s outing. Not the outing that Peeler and Norm we’re discussing on the other thread.

I will try and make the next Deep fried lard as it was quick and very easy to get to for me. Definitely doable as a day trip. The games all looked excellent too. Do you know what rules were being used for the Trojan War game as I didn't manage to find out?

Well, that looked pretty good, but without being partisan, my vote goes to LT's Garibaldi game, and it sounds like the prize for best presentation was rightly awarded.

I only wish I could be enthusiastic about Lardie rules, but no, I can't quite manage that.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
