I read it as otherwise in the special rules for halflings. Everything counts as bigger, even Dwarfs unless I’m reading the wrong edition.

Yes, having re-read various sections in conjunction, I think you’re right. It’s not really a biggie, damaging is not that bad. And well, deathblow is immaterial as you’re dead!

And well, for damaging it says the player can choose to use it. So I wouldn’t worry too much, basically carry on before as I’m unlikely to remember! Norm, your Scythe has the damaging rule too
