EB likes to paint his 3 or 4 times to make sure no moisture gets in! Different colours. Just in case.

These days I usually pva a small piece of paper withe the regimental ID or a unit number on the underside of mine - I wish I'd always done this as with regiments I painted up years ago, I have no idea what they are now and with Napoleonics being so identical and numerous I often have a nationality underneath like Saxon Foot artillery etc

I'm seriously thinking of sticking a label on the rear edge of the base with the regimental name. Under the base will be the date of raising and the unit history.

Tomorrow - Eidai German Secret Strongpoint. Wanted one since it came out and was reviewed in Airfix Magazine in 1973. Finally found one a few weeks ago. Of course I might not get round to it.

Was it re-released by Fujimi at one point? I seem to remember that some of Eidai quickbuild kits ended up in their range.

EDIT : I'm confused, originally by Arii and rereleased by Eidai. Apparently it was then released again in 2010. https://hobbylink.tv/model-talk-2-armor-modelers

Well the 38 t, 37mm pak and the Panzerjager1 in the photo event in the Eidai original and all were done by Fulimi so you could be right - I knew about the Arii reissue.

Mine is on hold awaiting the arrival of some Rustoleum Plastic Primer ( though I suppose I could get on with the tank and guns etc.

I know what you mean. I think I'll try it on just the command base to start with but I've a feeling that my OCD will think that's not balanced. Perhaps a compromise is to size the label so that it doesn't cover the full length of the command base.

I shall experiment.
