Circa 03:00 I had a sit-up in bed moment re. the current scenario and the absence of Von Dammenblatz.

Cannot believe it didn’t hit me sooner.
No spoilers though... it’ll wait til this evening.

Also: I only just ‘got’ the surname joke.

Von Saponatheim: ‘Once upon a time’. :clappy:

Also also: I don’t think I need a separate ‘Language: Magick’ roll to cast.
Jeremy, Take a look at the ‘magic’ page of my character sheet - there’s an automated roll to cast. (Which we have been using).
My ‘Language: Magick’ value is included in this roll.
It’s the basis of the algorithm.
Same way your WS is the basis of your automated combat roll.
You don’t roll WS separately - you make your hit roll and the WS is included in the algorithm.

I know there’s a button, but wasn’t sure if it was. I’m not very good at reading the code required for these tabs. I’ll take another look

As I shared with Jamie on text this morning, I’ll share with you lot (he was asking how much he could flog those fancy clothes he took off the ‘drunk’ noble):

Well, now you mention it.... something does strike you as a little odd about the clothing when you look at it under lighting. It’s nice clothing, definitely well made. But not the expensive tailored kind you and the others were wearing. More of the kind a merchant or upper middle class person would wear. Weird. Maybe he wasn’t a noble...............

The good news is Ferdy’s token is back. Had to completely re-engineer it, but he’s back. Back again. Ferdy’s back. Without a friend.

Yeah, it’s a disguise of some sort - layers to be shed to change appearance is what I figured.

I’d say he was after the diamond except he seemed to be a bit of a chump.
Maybe an assassin, but... same argument.

So he’s an amateur of some sort.
The real question is, what was he after?
That’s why I asked where in the castle he was headed to, and why I was willing to assist him in that direction.

Just checked, the button is reading your spell casting against base Int and not Read Language Magic. You’re doing yourself out of the advance in that Skill
