One of my favourites is the figure with the drinks cabinet, with his mug out... where is he from?

Is there a secret Land girls section to be added at some stage? The Bad Squiddo figs make excellent supplements to a Home Guard platoon.

45 years ago I had a couple of those tin mugs from Army and Navy stores for hill walking and they used a very dark blue enamel. Much darker than I've ever seen on a figure.

Doug, he’s from that Warlord Sea Lion defenders range. I have the Bad Squiddo lasses with shotguns, they might well make an appearance

Thanks Jeremy. I'm still waiting for the killer range of Early War Brits...

1st Corps have started one, but the sculpting is not to everyone's taste. You never know, though, it might evolve.

I looked at them, and I have the 1st Corps late Brits and Germans, but I'm not sold on them.

If only Empress would modify their interwar British to replace the puttees, they would be rather nice.

I have a massive problem with the scenario. If Jerry knows that black pudding is a food conferring superhuman soldierly qualities, why doesn't he account for the fact that the locals have been eating it every day of their lives ?
Does he not realise that the butcher's 14 year old daughter Mabel could slay any one of their elite FJ without even raising a sweat ?

Or generally low starting point that with the addition of the super-food barely raises them to equivalence with other sentient beings? It is Yorkshire I believe?

Ah, see, the Black Pudding doesn’t make them super soldiers. It powers super soldiers. Much like jet fuel doesn’t make a fighter plane and why fighter planes don’t run on ordinary car fuel

It's considered a bit uncouth to point to the glaring plot holes, like why if they can make Super Soldiers they can't make Super Soldier fuel, or even, how do they know they are Super Soldiers if they can't power them up, and even then, how would they know they run on Black Pudding.

But it's all ok, despite plot holes that would make Star Trek directors blush, we will still enjoy mowing down our opponents next week.
