Lost both my games in a thoroughly enjoyable day. In the 1940 Dutch/German game Doug and I just needed our opponents to roll 3 sixes to give us a win. But would they? er, no actually.
In the French/Prussian my civilians performed magnificently but all my military ran away!

An excellent day - thank you Jeremy for organising it. Won both my SP2 games and suffered a marginal defeat in my CP game in the evening (prevented from sneaking a marginal win by one of my S-Boats blowing up just one move shy of the exit table edge). The CP game was particularly cool, taking place almost entirely in darkness, with LED lights to denote firing, explosions, and burning boats - we actually discussed how he could replicate tracer criss-crossing the table (fibre optics). A perfect set-up for a virtual game, but sadly, one that could not be replicated with the players actually seated around the table.

That’s the thing though, even if/when we get back to F2F gaming, there’s no reason for us to abandon virtual gaming. It still has its place, especially for things like this.

I’ll still carry on with it, had HMS (of this parish) in my afternoon game and it was great as it’s not something we could normally do

Virtual Lard 6 takes place on 10 July. This will probably be the last VL for this year as we (hopefully) head into normality with a resumption of face to face gaming. As ever, this is subject to change given what happens with Covid going forward.

And if anyone hasn't yet participated in one of these, you are missing out. Great fun. Though, given my performance last time, I need to pace myself a bit better.
