As with normal brush application.

OK, thanks - I'm looking at painting 1:300 ships' hulls and general superstructure, possibly with some stripey or dazzle camo on the hulls; and 1/56 tanks in two-/three-tone camo (mostly French and Japanese, who had fairly similar styles).

True, but I still find the Vallejo model air more trouble than thinned Tamiya. It seems to clog more, I think because of the medium.

The basic painting and multi tone camo will work even with a cheap set. It's whether you think you will want to do more, like buildings, weathering, spraying varnish etc.

I like the Vallejo model air and don’t have any issues. The only one of them I thin is the matt varnish, and even that only a little

Agreed . I’ve only noticed the issue on very fine detail/low pressure where Tamiya is definitely superior . For most normal usage vallejo seems to work ok for me. I always add some thinners even to Vallejo Air, never straight out the bottle.

Assembled the Warbases church tonight. Tomorrow I’ll add roof tiles and texture the walls

Is the brick detailing on the church "raised" (ie could you accentuate it with dry-brushing) or is it just drawn on?

Laser cut. It’s going to get Polyfilla’d and a stone roller from Greenstuff World used on it
