... and the Criterion Hotel in town. That belonged to 'Queenie' Caesar. She really was a Queen too, of one of the Maori tribes. Her oldest son was a good mate of one of my brothers. He's now the Paramount Chief for that tribe.

Ah, dear old Adelaide, city of churches and serial killers, where people will tell you it's the only bit of Oz that wasn't a penal colony, and then wonder why everyone finds it so dull. I once spent two weeks there for work, and it felt like months.
