A sneak peak at the table for my VL6 game.

July, 1942. Elements of Germany’s First Parachute Division have landed in Lancashire, England. Their mission: to capture Mary Heywood, Chief Food Scientist at the Bury Black Pudding Company (and part time Home Economics teacher at Bury Grammar). They need to capture Mary in order to successfully accomplish “Operation: Black Gold” for Der Fuhrer, and time is running out. Black Pudding, a true superfood, is the only substance pure enough to power the vile creatures of Hitler’s Super Soldier program. Without this scarce resource, Hitler’s invasion of Russia will surely fail.

After suffering initial setbacks, Leutnant Helmutt Rasch and his band of Falschirmjager were finally able to force the brave men and woman of Bury, under the command of Colonel Hugh Jorgan, off the ridge at Ewood Bridge. The Colonel and his ragtag force have now fallen back to the little village of Irwell Vale, here the fighting is expected to be fierce as the Irwell Vale Volunteers will not surrender their homes so easily.

Will the brave men and women of the Northwest stop the evil Rasch in his tracks once and for all? Or will he succeed and prepare for a push through Ramsbottom?

One spectacular win in the AWI game, I have never gambled so many times and won every time.
One spectacular loss in the Sudan game, where a random event had the British line charge the Mahdists, who only suffered casulaties from embarrassment.
