Well, I've wanted a 28mm Sasanian army for a while, so 26 packs of them from A&A. With the current special, it works out pretty cheap at just under £2 per cavalryman... winner!

I've pre-ordered several feet of river from The Last Valley, had a decent Lotto win on a roll down Saturday last month.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

They'll be led by the famed Boer leader Oscar Pistofasaurus the peg legged loose triggered outlaw. Obviously allied to the Europans.
😂😂 does he always shoot through outhouse doors?
Freya's favourite nurse who we've kept in touch with is from Cape Town. She has a little dog called Reeva. Which I thought was tempting fate a bit.. 🐶

Picked up a couple of heavy duty folding camping tables today. Great for barbecues and the such.

Of course they also make rather good wargame tables.

I've tried that one as welll: 'wouldn't it be nice to have some folding tables we could put up if we wanted to entertain outdoors' .... 'You bastard, you're only thinking about wargames aren't you?'

Bought some Woodlands Scenics trees and bushes (which enabled me to find the trees I hadn't seen seen for a few years- why were they in a box of unbuilt WWI aircraft kits?), some 15mm 1944-45 Brits and Germans and paying Dan Dunbar to paint up some Hanoverian and Prussian 18mm SYW infantry (I just can't paint the detail on any more). Also picked up some good SYW references. Strongly resisted being tempted into new periods (except the WWII stuff), so far.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
