A fun game of QB today courtesy of Alex and his excellent collection (and rules of course)in the good company of Alex, Peeler and Tim W
The game was notable for
- Peeler having a good plan
- My appalling command dice rolls (about 15 game turns, a single 4 with all others below that - at least 50% must have been 1s)
- Our excellent combat rolls, especially as the Brits collapsed in the cornfield
- Only a single ICBM* launch from our commander
- A glorious French victory

Re: DBN Quatre Bras
Looks like fun. I have only played DBN once but my next game will be with Peeler at Ayton next month.
I like the picture of Peeler explaining he only had two of the chocolate biscuits with his cuppa.

I thought it was William Shatner indicating how many times (counting Star Trek as one) he's been into space.
Agree with Ilkley Moor that it does look like a very good game. Was it at the local tea rooms?

Royal Artillery should have gone to Specsavers! Cracking day though.
Re: DBN Quatre Bras
It was a very good plan, and a good day was had by all.
Ignored the left, teased them in the centre & right, then attacked forcefully in the centre. Poor cap dice, but good combat rolls led to a dramatic french victory, especially with a column attack on the British line in the cornfield, forcing the Allied side to concede through losses of (I think) ten bases to three, or thereabouts.

Does this mean that you've stopped hitting Guardian readers with your truncheon then?

I do hope not.
Re: DBN Quatre Bras
I could never catch them, they ran away so fast.

The court costs were becoming excessive..BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 9:27 pmDoes this mean that you've stopped hitting Guardian readers with your truncheon then?
