Yes mate, Iain told me. Sorry to hear that, although good luck for the competition. You will be ,missed.
Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.

That's to help him get past those "Just Stop Oil" protesters.

I'm afraid I can't make this event, due to other arrangements I didn't really get a vote in. Sounds great though and I hope everyone has an excellent time.

My only concern with the numbers of attendees tumbling is that the venue is going to become prohibitively expensive for those turning up??

"Tumbling" is a tad extreme, only two dropped out so far. But as yet I have not had to part up with any deposits etc. I shall contact them and get a figure, which may or may not lead to a re-think.

Yes, maybe I was being a bit over dramatic, sorry!
I got the impression it was more than two dropouts(Jez, Gary and Dave) but they might not have all said they were coming initially, so probably my miscalculation!
(At least I didn't say "plummetting")

I've had a long conversation with the Memsahib today and despite a provisional approval I'm afraid I'm going to bow out this time. I've been tentative as Tim knows anyway. Just too long to leave the wimmin folk alone on the farm in our first winter. Resources are stretched too as we're still kitting out the new cottage from scratch and stockpilling winter fuels. Will be far better sorted next year.

Can't say I'm not disappointed, but I do understand, it's a long time to leave the ladies unprotected and alone especially as the hills have eyes up there. You will be missed of course.
