A brief summary of the first outing.
Our brave adventurers were hired to find the missing son-in-law and caravan of a prosperous merchant who had gone missing on the road to Gotheim. Just after lunch, they set off to the Inn of the Hooded Man where they would take a boat to Gotheim to begin their search. A storm rapidly started to build and as they made their way through the dark Reikland forests, and they stumbled upon a hunt. Two Beastmen and four Mutants were hunting a white stag. Chaos ensued as the Beastmen charged our Adventurers. The more brave among the party met the charge head on, whilst others hovered on the fringe casting spells and loosing sling stones. After a frantic combat, the foul denizens of chaos were bested, but not before some of the party, the Witchhunter included, were tainted by their association with chaos.
As the storm grew worse, the party finally made their way to the Inn of the Hooded Man, only to find the gate was barred. A long discussion was held as to the best way to breach the 12 foot wall, the consensus seemed to be to throw the Halfling over the wall. Someone eventually noticed a light in a building off to the right. Much debate then followed, and after an inordinate amount of time, the party settled on sending the Halfling in first. The building was a ferry house, and clearly a struggle had taken place here. Tables were overturned, crockery broken and a trail of blood led to the door. All that paled into insignificance as they party found some silver pieces and a conversation ensued over who the keeper of the treasure should be.
Eventually, the party noticed a small side gate into the courtyard and entered. Again, a debate was had, and the Halfling was sent in first. Upon entering, they could hear the panicked neighs of the horses from the stables. The erstwhile Dwarven Slayer entered to calm them, failing spectacularly, and they charged out the open door. Investigation of the stables led to the discovery of the stable boy, dead and half eaten. The bites we clearly human.
The sounds of revelry could be heard from the Inn, and with their blood up, our Adventurers were keen to charge in. Kicking the door down was mentioned more than once.
It was at this point we decided to call an end to the evening. Part two commences this Sunday

If you reckon that was a “long discussion” you should see a stoned D&D session.

Anyway, you stopped short.
We knocked - got the peephole treatment - and were admitted by a morbidly obese barkeep.
There’s a road warden and an exophthalmic scullion in there.
No signs of the aforementioned revelry though....

Our brave heroes defeated the foul cultists of Tzeentch tonight and saved the inhabitants of the Hooded Man Inn from being sacrifices. Badly wounded, do they continue on their quest to find Gotlieb, or do they rest up?

It was a triumph for the heroes. Only inhibited by our inability to use weapons, pick locks, cast spells or make a decision

It was fascinating to see just how many fumbles Purps could roll!
The funniest was Jamie trying to bash the chest open with his sword, fumbling and the blade bouncing back up, hitting him in the face and knocking him unconscious. Then Purps nicking all his gold. Classic!

I made decisions in a quick and decisive manner.
So did everybody else.
Just, y’know.... Different decisions.
