I'm going for Saxurary. Although I really only should paint these guys in the first part of the month, being Early Saxons.

Yes indeed. The French army of the time had quite a few German regiments (the Royal Pologne regiment was also classed as German, because Louis XV's father-in-law, Stanislas Lesczinksi and pretender 'King of Poland' had been given Lorraine) and most of them were dressed in 'Turquin' blue, but the Royal Deux-Ponts were an oddity in that prior to 1761 they dressed in the typical off-white French uniform. I'll be doing a bloue-coated German brigade later (they're currently on order from Eureka) - 1 battalion each from the St Germain and Royal Pologne Regts and two battalions from the La Marck Regt.
I'm working my way through the orbat for Rossbach. Then I might do some others later, such as the Royal Baviere, Grenadiers de France, Gardes Francaises, Cuirassiers du Roi, Gendarmerie de France, etc.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 3:00 pm What - no Royal Baviere with black facings?

The Baroness has ordered (and had delivered within one day) Liquitex Acrylic High Gloss Varnish. Will that do the job?BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 10:15 am Quick question - which type of gloss varnish (no, no - read on) to surface prep for decals on plastic/resin/metal kits?
