They've been bloody slow going, but I've finally got some more Eureka SYW British cavalry done; the 3rd Dragoon Guards, 2nd Dragoons (Scots Greys) and the Marquis of Granby (in the uniform of the Royal Horse Guards). I do like Granby, posed in the moment of losing his hat and wig during his epic charge at Warburg.

Next on my list are the 1st King's Dragoon Guards and Royal Horse Guards, then some Hanoverian Horse & Dragoons.

Cheers! Sorry I didn't manage to do the thistles in the middle of the red bit. I'd lost the will to live at that point...

It's occurred to me that this is the fourth time I've painted the bloody Scots Greys in one form or another. Fifth time if you include their Shermans...

I wanted to love the Winterpig figures, and the faces are pretty good, but Sergeant Scott arrived broken, (left hand and knobkerrie broken off) and the Private Waddle figure's right arm is a complete mess, with what looks like 2 right hands stuck to each other in series. It's unusable, so I binned it.

Bit disappointing. 8 figures, one didn't arrive at all, one broken and one miscast.
Would have been nice to have told me.

Scotts hand comes seperate, widdle sounds odd and a bad cast I missed.

The sculpt for 8 has just been completed and I am hoping to get him out in april, the sculptor being ill, then me being ill has been a problem. When I send him I will include a new/better cast widdle.

Nicely done, Mark. I agree- the Granby figure is a good one and leads my Brit-Hanoverian cavalry as well- or will, once I get a chance for them to be fielded.

Cheers! I miscounted; I've done the Greys SIX times: 1/72nd Esci Napoleonic, 15mm Minifigs Napoleonic, 15mm AB Napoleonic, 6mm Baccus WSS, 15mm Skytrex Shermans and now 15mm Eureka SYW... :)

Wouldn't the 3rd Dragoon Guards have had a trumpeter, rather than a drummer?
