Awesome! 👏
I like that Gaynor has worked her way on.

Yes, the tart really adds certain je ne sais quoi, and this thread clearly needed more Gaynor.
Thanks for the kind words, as always.

And now, the finest in vintage OG's "Hey Stevery," Marshall Oudinot. Produced before the era of quality paper flags, and there's no way I'm painting an Austrian eagle on the enthusiastic foot figure. But clearly, there's something worth everyone pointing at. Classic wargaming meme material!

Now, concentrate Dougal. This flag is small, those flags are far away.

Glad you like that little detail, like Lebowski's rug, it really ties the base together.

Not sure about what the sets on offer look like now, but back in 1990-something when I bought these now vintage OG French commanders, they included a little name plate that was connected to the mounted figure's feet. And between the two sets, that accounted for about 50 marshals and generals.

So when I composed each base I carefully trimmed them and emplaced them on the bases like so.

Couldn't help but think of this as inspiration.

Possibly too clever by half.

My latest, and my first points for the LAW challenge. Lannes en route to Eggmule or Eckmühl or whatever... Envision him leading the provisional corps on his way to help.

And obviously meeting "Steve" on the way there!
