Yep. Pretty much what I have been doing. I ended up painting a narrow red border on the red Republican Roman ones. Ta.

On my Republican Romans I painted the rims red where they were not bronze. For the Spanish Scutari I painted the rims bronze. LBM are lovely transfers but the claim 'designed to fit...' needs taking with a pound of salt or two.

It's a tricky one, as you have to be careful not to get too much paint under the transfer. Still, I'm quite pleased with how they turned out. Hopefully finish the core Republicans tomorrow, only 76 figures, but the largest single group I have painted in ages.
