I'd love a holiday on my own... or without kids and dogs at least

They din'doo nuffin'!
So good South Welsh lads, then?
What colour blues are described in books and what colours were on the clothes that were given to the troops can vary. The below coat (from the FdG museum in Kulmbach site) was made according to the original factory orders. While it could be a misinterpretation of the orders by the mob that made it, it does make my Prussian dragoons look a little pale.
Still can't get the image within the thread, but I can see it when I paste the link into the browser (Chrome on Win 11) - I suspect you might be right that the nanny-state is unhappy about parsing a HTTP link from a HTTPS session.

I think some browsers allow it or have a setting to allow it....

Gents, the original is at the FdG museum site at
http://www.armeemuseum-plassenburg.de/index.html
Click and hold on the "Rundgang" link and choose "Dragoner". A slide show will appear on the left and the two dragoon photos are 4 and 5 of 5.
I'll delete my other post seeing it didn't work, Doug.

Don't know about anyone else but the image link is broken for me.
Same here, but I'm in work and the net-nanny blocks most things.
(though strangely not this bunch of reprobates... yet...)

Well, there are photos of firearms, swords, bayonets, pole arms and other nasties, mate. Even a snuff box.
