Luckily my take on the Early medieval period for wargaming purposes at least is pretty fluid. It's all playing with toy soldiers after all :D

All trains were cancelled here today in Drakefordistan, so it was a perfect day for painting tartan without incurring delays to trains... So that's 87th (Keith's) Highlanders finished. :) However, I've got the 88th (Campbell's) to do on Monday night, so it would be best to avoid rail travel until at least Wednesday.
