I was originally from Wimbledon Park just up the road from Haydons Rd. You can probably guess which football team I support.

I was visiting BMW models late 60s or perhaps early 70s.

There also used to be a small shop in Kingston originally called "Regimental" and it later became Games Unlimited.
I lived in Ham when I was working at BAe - as did my wife, though at different times and we never knew each other back then. Was your team based at Plough Lane, by any chance? Saw quite a few of their games - especialy the cup runs -during the "Arry Bassett" days.

I first went to BMW in the mid-70s; can't recall which exact year, but it was after returning from a Model Engineer Exhibition at Seymour Place in central London. Bought three 25mm Napoleonic Highland officers (no idea why) and managed to lose two of them (no idea how) on the walk back to Wimbledon railway station!

I remember Regimental - I sold some painted Minifigs Prussians to the pipe-smoking guy who owned it. Games Unlimited was owned by Eamon Bloomfield, who became a good friend (and employer, for about a year or so), but who got stiffed by an auctioneer who sold all his unique games collection, then pissed off with the money. Eamon now lives in Germany with his partner and they frequently play bridge with female descendants of field marshals Blucher and Osten-Sacken.

Well, that may be true of the late 70s.
