I've always felt that there is far too much negativity attached to grumpiness - it should be embraced as a positive quality. At least, that's how I've always handled it. Not sure the missus has always appreciated that......

Thanks! Yes, sadly Dark Ages is just one of those periods where you want more and more. I caught myself looking at Irish and Pict armies the other day. Fortunately sense prevailed when I realized I had 4 armies already and another would just be silly
