That is encouraging, my eyes are also no longer allowing me to paint as I would like, so if you do work like that I am somewhat encouraged. Great photos, looking very good.

It was Snakebite leather contrast over a zenithal highlight then highlighted with a 50/50 mix of Scale 75 indian shadow and pale flesh thinned to being just translucent and glazed over the raised areas.

It really is Contrast paint doing the heavy lifting. The new ones they've just released are very good and the single pigment ones in particular are well worth checking out.
