With the little guys just a sprayed/airbrushed white undercoat.
The bigger chaps get a black undercoat with an off white zenithal* spray. How much of the lighter colour depends on what I want the final result to look like.
I prefer spraying rather than brush on when undercoating for contrasts to get a smoother finish that allows the paint to flow.
