Peeler probably has better pics but a splendid game of DbSYW by Alex with Peelers SYW(ish) collection was had this afternoon. Myself and Alex attacking Peeler, who held a BUA.

A game of two halves with me wiping out Peelers left flank and preparing a roll up of his musketry until Alex faltered in the centre and eventually loosing our opposite flank. Peeler reposotioned his centre to prepare a trap for my horse which badly failed in its flank attacks to be lost to the volley of muskets.

Really good adaptations to the DbN rules which make a more simple game. Though much less forgoving of poor deployment than DbN and much more restricted use of artillery and shortened range of firing in line. Captured the period well.

Apart from the frankly bizarre 8 figure stands... 🙂

Those 8 figure stands weren't Bizarres, they were Muskets. Played very well. Different feel to DBN.

I dug out some 6mm SYW figures I had lying around and plan to use these for some DBSYW. Last used these 5 years ago.

Lovely scale for Db'ing. If I had more time I'd use Fred's very nice ECW 6mm, still might one day.
