Cotswold gaming day a grand day out 2022 Molwitz game, lots of photos
Posted: Tue Sep 27, 2022 5:37 pm
Early start up at 0430 on the road by 0500 arrived at Northleach 0750, all set up by 0920 ready to game the battle of Molwitz.
Mike Richards took on the mantle of the Austrian / French / Tiberian army.
I had printed off written order sheets for each turn, to replace Steves order blocks. Once again using my "On the Hoof" rules.
As per normal I have not written a turn by turn account of the game, I will let the photos explain.
"The grape got him sir" poor old Jean blew his boots off it did.
After some 6 years of transporting these Spencer Smiths across the country he was the first major casualty, base already on the work bench for repair.
It was a great game Mike was a friendly and gentlemanly opponent, the game swung to and fro but having lost my cavalry to a shattering defeat to Mike's cavalry the writing was on the wall
for the Prussians.
Basically the Prussian got a good kicking from Austrians.
Willz.
