Mark D. popped round for a bit of DbN today. Simple 12 point game of British vs French. First to take 1/3rd of the opponents units (4 bases) wins or if the British destroy both French foot guns. We played each side, first game took a while and ground each other down in a hard fight, the French winning with good use of an attack column headed by an elite unit to smash the main body of British foot in the centre. The 95th performed well as did the British Cnc in some daring moves. The second game saw early French surprise victories but a British comeback with good use of cavalry (reinforcements after turn 4) supported by guns and a failure of the French attack column secured the win for the British. Much quicker 2nd game.
The field had a couple of woods, couple of hills and some bad going over farms/fields and small farm buildings and ruins providing cover from line of sight but not big enough to be occupied or fought over - no BUA's etc.
French:
Elite x1
Line x5
Lights x1
Curassier x1
Horse gun x1
Foot guns x2
British:
Line 6
Lights (Elite 95th) x1
Light cavalry x1
Heavy cavalry x1
Horse gun x1
Foot gun x1

Re: DbN on the farm
DBN provided two entertaining close fought games. Thanks to Tim for hosting the games and keeping me well fed and watered.
