I don't like the price, and I can't remember any of the ridiculous names of the paints, but am looking at the CP in much the way Buff describes. Now that I'm getting better results and a time savings, I can see a number of stalled projects making it out of the pile and onto the table.

The CPs also blend very nicely, so it's easy to just buy a handful of the basic colors and mix them on a palette to get what you want.

The bone colour makes a great desert british colour, and one of the browns (will look its name up later) is a very close British uniform khaki.

That is what, 3 or 4 28mms cost....

Yeah, don’t get me wrong. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them, they’re just not for me

I cannot see a use for these if they aren't good over a black undercoat as the only white undercoated figures I have a re Austrian and they will end up being mainly white!
What about using them as a kind of wash after blocking in with a basic colour first?

I have seen some good results with that VB. Not convinced it’s a better effect than washes at half the price though

I’ll try it, VB. I would think it’d work well.

Those ECW look pretty good HMSP.

Thanks - minimal painting again this week due to work travel - but a side-by-side here of the redcoated ECW done with the AP some time ago. Next to them are my recent CP speed paints.

Both nice but I think the CP ones work well.
