One of the marvellous things about the Tims' vision for Kumbayah is the elasticity of the period. Post colonial Africa offers plenty of scope for fudging the equipment. I think Norm deployed a T-62 against my M-60 and Hotel's Saladins. AK's, SLR's and M-16s abound for the troops.
I did have a couple of other options for the aircraft, I looked at a Hunter and a Skyraider but the Sabre is winning on price.

Well. the Sabre is mine for the princely sum of £5.99 including postage. I wonder how neatly I can overpaint decals to get a new roundel.

There’s quite a few firms out there that do stencils, there’s bound to be one that has roundels for 1/48

There will be literally thousands of 1/48 decals out there. (3866 to be precise, at least at Hannants). You should find something suitable. https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?prod ... ale_id=955

I'm looking to create something unique although I could get away with using Chad roundels.
Colombia has the prettiest ones I've found but I imagine that their painters hate applying them.
