The Loose Association of Wargamers

I see the latest issue of WSS has somehow stolen my idea, probably through Russian mind control technology or something, of having a competition to make a budget wargame for £30. Theirs is more about the portability aspect to rival the new Perry game, so I'm not going to sue just yet.

It's an interesting one though and I might just have to think on a game idea to submit. Had a few initial thoughts but keep changing my mind.

Anyone else up for it? We could do a joint entry by all chipping in to an idea and giving a few play tests?

I wondered about a simplyfied version of DbN or any of its variants?

I’m happy to test play and get involved. I’m furiously painting for Ayton ‘18 and other side endeavors so all I can contribute is my (limited) intellect

No, the rule is if you stop before the end of breakfast, it's painted on the day. Bizarre movement trays to avoid sticking to the varnish are also acceptable. Peeler is also fond of varnish on his bacon and eggs.

Does Peeler use Gloss or Matt Varnish on his fried eggs. I think Gloss makes the egg yellow look more vivid but others think its more realistic to use Matt.

It would be a feather in your cap to win a competition that was based on an idea someone stole from you, wouldn't it?

There is the 'Ayton Effect' which means that if you get the figures painted and ready to go in good time then some sort of disaster will befall them. With the result that you will still be repairing the damage right up until breakfast on the Saturday
