Re: SYW French on the march

Replacing flags isn't that hard.
I'm a bit of an expert at making mistakes with them so having had to replace several, I know.

A sharp scalpel, run down the pole, removes them quickly & cleanly.

Re: SYW French on the march

Excellent display of fantastic plastic and metal 18th century eye candy, full of inspiration. Willz. Thanks, Will. I am not satisfied with the limber horses. Most are galloping & it looks silly. Suitable, standing horses in this scale are not really attainable - you can get a few if you buy thi...

Re: SYW French on the march

Stunningly gorgeous. I was going to wax lyrical about 1/72 plastic armies, but I see that the infantry at least are mostly metal Wodensfeld (and some Old John 'specials'). Iain The cavalry & artillery are all plastic - Revell, Zvesda & Red Box. No one makes French SYW so you have to improvi...

SYW French on the march

I really love my SYW French army. They rarely win but they have colour, presence, panache. Anyway, on display: 19 infantry battalions, 8 cavalry regiments, light troops, artillery etc: https://i.postimg.cc/3Jj47ZvV/fa2.jpg The van, guarded by light troops: https://i.postimg.cc/Nfv9Wn5R/fa1.jpg https...

Re: AWI Collection gets an airing.

A very attractive game. As I expect from you. Can I ask a question on flag size? Please keep in mind you could write what I know about the AWI on the back of a postage stamp. Are these flags in scale or have you made them larger for visual impact purposes? Please note, this is in no way a criticism;...

Re: Airfix 1/76 Guards Colour Party

I have always thought that sellers overprice items. Willz. As I've sold thousands of mostly painted figures over the past 2 years, I tend to agree. The seller often has an emotional attachment added to the price that will not be met. But it also works the other way. Let me say, diplomatically, thes...

Re: "Siege of Louisbourg 1747" Legionary 2024.

I hate to concentrate on such a small detail in what is, overall, an outstanding display of figures & terrain - your chevaux-de-frise. It is remarkable. By using a tree trunk, it looks so very real. I did ask to see your figures in action & I am totally satisfied with this feast of photos. A...
