The Battle of Warburg 1760 (Our Christmas Game AAR)
Here's the AAR for our Christmas game, which this year was the Battle of Warburg 1760. Fought at the Wargames Association of South Pembrokeshire (WASP) using 'Tricorn' rules (SYW adaptation of Shako): http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2024/01/10/going-at-it-bald-headed-the-battle-of-warburg-1760-the-refig...

Re: More work on flats SYW
Lovely once again!
As you say, less can often be more. I stopped painting (most) shabraque-badges years ago, as combined with coat-tails, scabbards and other bits of kit hanging down, they largely obscured the dominant colour of the shabraque.

Hi Bogey,
The forum changed providers about 5-6 years ago, so you probably had an account on the old LAoW forum.
Anyway, glad you could make it. Sorry about the state of the place. If we'd known you were coming...

And as I've discovered on most of those occasions, it doesn't matter how big it is if you fail to perform...BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 5:56 pm Given the size of the typical games you and your mates play, I'd say one a month is pretty damned impressive - like going to a major show every 4-5 weeks! Well done!

Re: Jemima Fawr's Review of 2023
Thanks fellas! Yeah, it's worked out at only about one game per month, but that's much better than recent years. Have a good 'un!

Yeah, there's always a bent bayonet, a fallen tree, bright yellow tape-measure or wargamer's groin somewhere in shot...
Anyway, Happy New Year to you too!
