Re: Dabbling in Soldiers of Napoleon

We have played a few games of SoN and they do have some interesting ideas which we have incorporated into big battle Piquet. A couple of things we found odd.. Firstly Skirmishers are way too powerful and need toning down. Secondly we felt the games ended prematurely before we got to the decision poi...

Re: Zinnfiguren

So I have worked on a second unit and decided that I need to change my thoughts on basing and gone for a 80 by 40mm base with 9 figures. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiezc7qAe_LneygfRCcrfT-LEpUaxjc8uQCuQTUupuhzSeDsWT_1c1dWk_1BWtJ-Dn6sPe2uRXzVYpB1iuV261o2kCjEmBC0lYG1SpyLO...

I can do 3mm or 3.6mm.

It is the offcuts and bits from laser playing. 4mm isn't a thickness I have used.

How thick is the doubled mdf? I can cut you some 6mm thick ones if you wanted to lose the join line.
They are 4mm. Can you do 4mm ? I think 6mm will look a bit too thick.

Zinnfiguren

I have started a new thread to record progress on my Zinnfiguren Project. To kick off I painted these 6 figures over 11 years ago when I got my first Zinnfiguren. Yesterday I rebased them on my new basing as part of my restarted project. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgX...

Re: DBN Gaming

My latest dabbling around is with some 10mm ACW for DBN or double bases for Fire and Fury. Figures are a mix of the older Pendraken range and Blaze Away. https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhIBKsd5aDjLpTPszntRxtIOPaUEUH_lv4RtAK6UWD2SwqjLFI2V3NqDGMgYDDw6KrVxQPsTLyqHkzyF0VtYod8...

Re: DBN Gaming

I went over to Scarborough yesterday for a game of DBACW using Alex's plastic ACW figures. In DBACW each element is a regiment or a battery of guns and formations are brigades. The rules play differently to DBN with a greater emphasis on Brigade commanders to recover shaken units and keep units form...
