Sounds like freshers week at UniversityBaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 11:34 amso you would have to inseminate almost 4 women every second.

It depends when in the family. A twin woman is far less likely to have twins, but her daughter is more likely to. And her sons won't have any.Buff Orpington wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 7:53 amBut if you have a history of twins in the family it becomes much more achievable.

Re: Billion Suns
When I lived in the US, there was a case of a doctor who ran a fertility clinic - he would sit down with prospective clients, go through the whole donor selection spiel with them. Having done so, whether they'd selected a six-foot harvard graduate or a gay ginger scotsman, he'd just nip into the back room and smash out a dishonourable discharge.BaronVonWreckedoften wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 1:06 pmSo this isn't about some amoral chancer who ran a dodgy fertility clinic then......?
50 kids. All his. The papers called him 'the Sperminator'.

I seem to recall a similar story of a fertility clinic in The Netherlands (rather appropriately) where the same thing happened. Wasn't there a book/TV programme/newspaper interviews with people who suddenly discovered they had an unfeasible number of siblings?
