I don't know how to break it to you, Tim, but that is pretty much what a korma is - in fact, if they put flaked almonds on the top it almost qualifies as a trifle. I forget what it's called now, but there's a variation that has pineapple rings in the sauce.

Yeah, custard like with a coconutty feel. Not a tin of birds warmed in the mircrowave.

There are some disgusting crimes committed in the kitchens of Indian restaurants in the UK - eating in a good Indian restaurant is like visiting a completely different and almost unrelated country. You have my sympathy.

So...what's the final tally on who's out Saturday?

Me, Countess B, EB, Peeler, Norm?

Jamie’s going. I’m undecided as to whether or not I’m tagging along.

Phil O will be in town.

When should we meet in the evening? I believe I'll join the LAW throng apre food.

It's a bit 'left field' but how about meeting in The York Tap at the station? Excellent range of beers!

Yep, I'll be around, with Stevie G (no, not that one). Likely to arrive in York mid Saturday afternoon and do some 'York stuff' - been lots of times, but haven't been to Jorvik Centre for years, so ... Then again, that will only get me buying bloody Vikings at the show, and I don't need any bloody Vikings... Spam, spam, spam, etc.
Not sure what our plans are for the evening, but may turn up wherever you folks are gathering...
