Do said Gentlemen turn gold into lead at these shows?
Indeed :) also plastic, resin and increasingly these days, charred MDF.

Next up, Pevensey - a Sealion 1940 game.
Looks like we started at Firepower in 2007, if memory actually works this was at the Royal Artillery Museum in Woolwich:

Notable for the 'failed to dry' river bed I made which did lead to figures sticking to it! Which, I maintain, is only realistic:

A rather bunched-up German assault - only feasible if you have control of the skies

Presumably there was a 'bogged' roll? Great stuff as always LT.

You'll be stuffing German Seamen up your BUM.

Thanks to Antmaster, a few more images emerged of our nefarious history.

This game was 'Rommel, Our Part in His Downfall' based on the memoirs of a certain Lt Rommel in 1914, investigating a peaceful French town:

In keeping with our habit of dragging bystanders in to play the game, we acquired this pleasant Argentinian gentleman at Bovington:

That was Bovington 2015, we revived the game as a formal Participation for Hammerhead 2017.
Always quite liked this shot for some reason:

And the French defenders:
