Vappa is another of those shows I've never been to. Maybe some of the Ayton Stalwarts ought to get together and put a game on there next year. Just putting it out there.

Great weekend. Two fantastic games on the Saturday, good dinner and then far too many alcoholic beverages till early Sunday morning left me feeling less than optimal. Was excellent to see everyone again though.

Some great looking games, but I think overall the quality was lower than previous years. Some big names in the traders missing, but not necessarily ones I would have visited.

My purchase were all planned, mostly terrain and with a heavy Peninsula feel (though they will do nicely for Ayton ‘23 as well). Come 8:30pm I was a broken man and in bed.

Vappa remains my favourite show, and combined with games the day before, it becomes a fantastic weekend

Everyone knows the best vineyards are in Clearwine. You don’t get a fine claret in Gimpy’s now do you?

Splendid socialising, as always. The show was the same charming, disorganised muddle that it always is. I do feel sorry for the organisers when traders don't show, but I'm sure such decisions are not easily taken. It may be something to get used to. Just before Christmas the organisers couldn't say what traders were attending.

I thoroughly enjoyed the social side but found the show itself underwhelming... I think they know they are the first big show and that they will always get the numbers...

The usual big historical games seemed absent (good for space...) and seems to be due to the local historical gamers falling out with 'someone'.... Who knows...

It could be a great show. It just isn't at the moment...

Did seem weird that half a dozen guys took a table to play 28mm fantasy and had zero contact with the punters.

Did nobody think to tell them that their invisibility cloaks weren't working?

I wonder what effect online sales are having on traders bothering/needing to turn up? 1st Corps and Museum Miniatures have been noticably absent the past two years and I would likley have bought from both on the day. Maybe rising costs generally are making it more difficult?
