Post by Willz the Wargamer »

With thanks to Dinos for the ideas and inspiration for this game.
Dinos game is here.
https://honoursofwar.com/thread/1064/b ... ame?page=1

I have had to tweek it a bit adding one battalion to each side, I may change a few bits but I am going to practice this game at Legionary 2023.

A Bridge too Far 1750’s Wild Geese Game 2023

A French/ Austrian convoy has entered from the West, escorted by Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry.
They are going to aid the siege the French are conducting against an Allied town far to the East
They have to cross the whole length of the table and exit from one of the two roads leading East.
Allied forces will enter the table from the points A, B, and C.
Some French / Austrian reinforcements, from the forces besieging the city, will be coming from D to help the convoy.

This is something a bit different from my usual stand-up battle.

If you don't mind, I'll "borrow" your hard work & put it in the queue.......problem is no SYW games on the horizon.

So what is the 1750s equivalent of "Bring up the PIAT!"?

It's been in storage a while now, I'd want Health & Safety to run a test on it first.....
